My name is Andrew Pink and I’m 20 years old. In December 2015 at the age of just 19 I became the U25 UK coach of the Year. I was then appointed to be Head Coach of the GB cycling team for the Invictus Games. The team and I travelled over to Orlando and came away with 8 Gold medals, 10 Silvers and 6 bronze medals. As well as this I work and race for WyndyMilla Bespoke Cycling who are a bespoke cycling company based in Surrey. I have teamed up with Creative Nature because I believe in everything that Creative Nature Stand for. I wouldn’t be an ambassador for anything that I don’t whole heartily believe in. Creative Nature have created a range of products that are not only made from natural ingredients of the highest quality, but it have been sustainably farmed, ethically traded and the packaging is 100% recyclable. My riders need high quality products and it’s not easy to find a product that will work for all the riders. However I have now found that with this brand and I’m looking forward to working closely with them.
What time do you get up?
I get up at 7am.
What’s the first thing you do in the morning to get your motivated for the day?
I wake up, have a massive bowl of porridge and watch the news.
Why nutrition is as important as exercise?
Nutrition is so important to be able to fuel your training. You can’t train productively without being properly fueled. Eating properly and eating at the right points during the day should be a dominant thought in any athlete’s mind so they can optimise their training.
You have achieved so much in such a small space of time, what is your next goal that you want to achieve?
The next goal I have is I’m hoping to be selected to coach the GB Cycling Team at the next Invictus Games next year in Toronto.
What’s your go to snack?
My go to snack is the Creative Nature Goji Goodness Raw Superfood flapjack!
How many times do you train a week?
I train 5-6 times a week
Who is your main inspiration?
My main inspiration was and still is Chris Hoy. So for him to send me a letter Prior to the last Invictus wishing the team and myself good luck was very surreal. He’s a unbelievable athlete and a great role model for the sport.
Final one, what are your staple foods that are always in your fridge or cupboard?
Always at home is fruit, porridge, pasta, yogurt and avocados.
