Spiced Maca Pumpkin puree

Spiced Maca Pumpkin puree is an absolute ESSENTIAL ingredient for so many autumn recipes. Pumpkin bread, pumpkin pie, pumpkin soup, pumpkin curry, pumpkin smoothie bowls… just to name a few!

We noticed that pre made pumpkin puree is hard to get hold of in the uk and thought we would show you just how easy it is to make your own! You can make this from 100% pumpkin (just £2!) if you’re planning on using the puree for a savoury recipe, but we gave this a sweet & spiced creative nature twist, perfect for home made sweet treats!

This Spiced Maca Pumpkin puree is super easy to make which is an absolute bonuse!

  • 750g raw pumpkin
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp all spice
  • 30g Creative Nature Maca powder
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup

1. Remove the seeds from your pumpkin, chop into chunks, peel, and then chop into evenly sized cubes.
2. Place the raw pumpkin in a steamer, and steam for 10-15 minutes until fully cooked.
3. Add your spices, maca powder, and syrup, then mash until fully smooth. you may need to use a blender if this is difficult.
4. you now have your finished pumpkin puree! Use in a recipe straight away, or store in an airtight container in the fridge.
