June is the first, real month of summer, even though for the last few weeks unusually, we’ve had lovely weather.
June is the time when our gardens begin to come fully into bloom. Normally, it’s a popular month for weddings, and a time to enjoy getting out in the sunshine and love life. With the relaxation of lockdown rules, we can get outside to a little further afield, which I’m sure everybody is looking forward to.
However, during lockdown there have been so many pictures of cakes, muffins, cookies appearing on social media– people busy baking, which is wonderful.
And there are a lot of people who in the past hadn’t baked that often – if ever. Having had no choice but to stay indoors, many have been taking the opportunity to explore different things.
Obviously, our campaign that was advertised in and around London, ‘stay at home and bake’ has worked!
Social Media love
We want to thank all of the people who have been following us, and supporting our social media posts.
During the last few months our Instagram audience has grown to 32K, which is amazing.
We’re very grateful to all those people for taking the time to post, and follow our stories and try out our recipes.
Several celebrities have been amongst the people who have sent us photos of their creations. We really appreciate their support and them sharing their audiences with us.
We would like to say a big ‘thank you’ to the following:
Vicky Pattison, previous I’m a Celebrity Winner has not only ‘got into baking’ while in isolation, but she also gave up her time, and came along to help us pack products to send out to care workers.
Vicky tried all of our baking mixes, and she and her partner were ‘walloping down’ Gnawbles.
Aptly, two members of the band, Little Mix have been enjoying our baking mixes; both Jade Thirlwall and Leighanne Pinnock have been baking, Banana Bread and Muffins. We loved Leighanne’s comment about the Banana Bread ‘tasting flipping banging’.
They weren’t the only people to love our baking mixes, they were joined by: Stephanie Lam, contestant from Love Island; Verity Bowditch, from Made in Chelsea; Charlotte Dawson, make-up artist; Sarah Jayne Dunn, from Hollyoaks; Zara McDermott, from Love Island and X Factor; Chloe Sims, TV personality and Molly Smith and partner, Callum Jones, both from Love Island were both baking.
Footballer James Vardy’s wife Becky Vardy, particularly enjoyed our Gnawbles.
Presenter Laura Whitmore was celebrating her birthday during lockdown, and was excited about the fact that she could still have chocolate cake to celebrate.
We are so thankful our baking mixes are the perfect match for people who have dietary allergies, or choose to be vegan and can enjoy a range of cakes, muffins, bread, bars and healthy snacks. For them to be able to order food online during lockdown has been a safe way for many to shop when they have been self-isolating due to medical conditions, or worries.
Thank you all for your continued support.
