Energy Fuelled Recipe’s

We’re about to give you a few substantial, healthy recipes to give you a burst of energy on these super warm days! But let’s get creative. You wake up in the morning, breakfast is the first thing that pops in to mind (well it is for me) and you might be craving that delicious chocolatey flavour. Whip up this super quick and easy Chocolate & Strawberry Protein Smoothie Bowl from blogger Nutritiously Naughty:

INGREDIENTS:

1 scoop chocolate vegan protein powder (25g)

100g strawberries

1 banana

200ml rice milk

1 tbsp smooth peanut butter

1 tsp Creative Nature maca powder

Topped with a sprinkle of Creative Nature cacao nibs

METHOD:

Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until completely smooth. This chocolate and strawberry protein smoothie is so sweet and indulgent it’s hard to believe it’s healthy and so high in protein! It’s naturally gluten free, low fodmap and refined sugar free too! If you are after a more filling smoothie try adding a handful of gluten free porridge oats to the blender.

 

As we’re being creative here instead of snacking on one of our very own Goji or Cacao bars, let’s make our own for a little snack to break the day up and ensure energy levels are high. Goji and Cacao Nib Bars :

                                                                                                    Ingredients

1 Scoop Vanilla Whey

1/4 Cup + 1tbsp Coconut Flour

1/4 Cup Desiccated Coconut

1/4 Cup Creative Nature Cacao Nibs

1/2 Cup Creative Nature Goji Berries

1 Cup Almond Butter

1/2 Tbsp Milk (I Used Almond Milk)

Method

Add all the dry ingredients into a bowl and mix well. Add the almond butter (or nut butter of choice) and milk and mix well to form a thick dough. Press the mixture into a silicone bar mould/brownie pan/mini loaf pan and freeze for 2 hours.

Makes 10 Small Bars

 Ingredients

1 Tsp Creative Nature Barley Grass Powder

½ Ripe Avocado

½ Lemon

Salt and Pepper

Creative Nature Shelled Hemp Seed

 

Method

Start by mashing the half avocado with a fork, squeeze on the lemon juice, salt and pepper and then the Barley Grass Powder and mash until all combined, serve on toast with Creative Nature Shelled Hemp.
