  1. 400g Brownie Mix
  2. 4 large eggs (or 5tbsp Chia Seeds + 15tbsp water for vegan recipe)
  3. 200g butter (or dairy free spread for vegan recipe)
  4. 5ml vanilla essence

How to make:

  1. (vegan recipe only) In a food processor or pestle & mortar, grind the Chia Seeds until fine or use milled chia seeds. Mix in a bowl with the water and leave to sit for 5 mins, or until gloopy.
  2. Preheat oven to 150 c/300 f/ Gas Mark 2
  3. Add all of the ingredients to a mixing bowl and beat together until smooth (start of slowly so the flour doesn’t go everywhere!).
  4. Line a brownie/baking tin with grease-proof paper and carefully spoon the mix into it.
  5. Bake between 20-25 mins then remover and put in the fridge to enjoy later.

Why not try:

  • Adding a little indulgence with 100g of melted dark chocolate
  • Turning up the heat with 5g of ground chillies
  • Mellowing out with 100g of mini marshmallows

Is it just me or is either the oven temp or cooking times wrong.
After 20 minutes in a 150c oven, the mixture was luke warm and nowhere near cooked

Hi Mary, oh no I’m so sorry about that! Unfortunately on the original packaging we put 150c instead of 180c, these have now all been updated, but there must be a few of the old design still in circulation. Please email julianne@creative-nature.uk.com and we will get this sorted for you. Many thanks, Julianne x

Purchased this mix for some party guests with allergies. The resulting brownies are absolutely gorgeous. I would buy these again to make even though I personally don’t have any allergies.

  3. Tania Schnuppe

Hi I bought this pack and was looking forward to mixing it up into brownies. The ingredients looked good. Was shocked to add plant-based spread as that is just saturated fat which I am trying hard to avoid. Was thinking has anyone tried it with avocado or banana as a fat substitute? Might make the brownie taste extra nice. Not being used to fat, they tasted great but felt sickly after 2 small pieces. On a positive note they are not too sweet and if you are adding spread they will be as good. For the kids, it wins hands down over other makes. Just want to find an alternative to the spread and we will be buying these on a regular basis. Thanks, Creative Nature.

      Hi Tania

Thank you for your feedback. I’m so glad your children prefer our mixes to others on the market! We have had customers use Coconut or Olive Oil instead of the vegan spread and say this works well.

If you do try either of these, please let us know how you get on!

      Many thanks, Julianne

  4. Inese

Excellent! Easy to make, looks delicious and tasty.

  5. Jessica broster

These brownies are really really good but I noticed something strange when I was trying to figure out how much sugar I’d eaten. On the packet and online it says there is 8.4 grams of sugar in 40g yet there is 43.5g of sugar in 100g. So if I divide 43.5g by 100 to get 1g of sugar that comes to 0.435g. 0.435g of sugar, times 40 is not 8.4g it’s 17.5g so actually it’s double what you say it is. Is that just a mistake or is it on purpose? The 4 stars is for the taste of the brownies even though I’m eating more sugar then I would like to

  6. Kat

Good quality ingredients, delicious & so easy & quick to make, had family over, they loved them! I’ve not let on that they are out of a packet as no-one could tell that they were as tasted so nice.

  7. Mikola
