Having to transition to a gluten-free diet, whether it’s for dietary reasons or even just preference, can be tough. Plentiful bakes rely on wheat-orientated ingredients to formulate a perfectly textured sponge, a carefully baked crisp pizza base or a firm loaf of bread. We’ve decided to create a flour blend that will cater for all of these, as well as being gluten-free and fairly priced.
Our blend consists of… rice flours which are versatile for baking, provide high amounts of fibre as well as nutrients ; buckwheat (which doesn’t actually contain gluten or wheat) providing an earthy flavour and contributing to several diverse baking properties, and finally maize flour (milled dried corn kernels), best used in tortillas, breads and muffins. This amalgamation of flours will ensure that you can be flexible with your gluten-free baking and consume all the benefits of the nutrient ingredients themselves!
